Hi, I was just wondering if any of you had two or more sets of multiples. My twins are 17 months old and I just found out that I'm pregnant again. I have an appointment with my doctor set up already, but it's not until the end of February. I know I may be getting ahead of myself, but I can't help but wonder if I'm going to have more multiples. Do any of you know what the odds are? Any information would be helpful.

Michelle,
It really does depend whether the twins you have are identical or fraternal. Not saying that two sets of identicals would NOT occur but your chances are significantly increased if you already have a set of fraternal twins.
We'll all wait with bated breath.....

I am curious to know if you found out you are pregnant with twins. I am expecting as well, and I will not know if I have twins until March. I have one set that is 3yrs old. Both my sisters have twins. One sister has a set of girls and the other has two sets: a set of boys and a set of boy/girl. Curious...Yes! Let me know what you find out about the chances of this...

Thank you for your responses!! I went to the doctor last week and of course, she wanted to do an ultrasound. I immediately got butterflies in my stomach because I was so nervous that I would see two little babies staring back at me. So, there I was laying on the table with a completely full bladder and my heart was racing. Then, she started the ultrasound and there was only one!! I told her to keep looking because as soon as I saw that there wasn't twins, I realized that I'd wanted twins again all along!! Does that sound crazy? I was so paranoid of having another set of multiples and then I find out I'm only having one and then I get disappointed. I guess I am just hard to please *lol* I was relieved to find out that everything was going fine and that the baby is doing great (I am only ten weeks along) and I can't wait for Emily and Ashton to be able to meet their new brother or sister! The Ark, please let me know what you are having and I hope that you are pleased with however many babies you are blessed with!!

Michelle,
That was my situation exactly! I had two little boys who hated sleeping and we had to think long and hard about another pregnancy because we were convinced we could not cope with another set of twins. Of course, we could have and part of me was sad and disappointed when only one baby appeared on the screen (my husband though I was crazy!). Three years on and our daughter is a delight. I never cease to rejoice in what a wonderful experience having a singleton is after twins. Her brothers adore her too! Had we been blessed with twins again, I would have loved it but it's great to have a different experience this time 'round!. Good luck with your singleton!
