View Full Version : FET/Cell Count Question.
This is basically continued from my thread success with FET. I went for my FET yesterday, and out of the 3 embies (8A, 8B and a 4B) only the 4B survived the thaw. It lost 2 cells making it a 2-cell emby. Has anyone had success or know of any success stories with (A) a one emby transfer or (B) a 2-cell emby??
Any info. would really make me feel a lot better. I have been going crazy looking for some success stories with smaller celled embies!!

Jennifer (Genuine) had a one emby transfer. Her beautiful baby Nicholas arrived happy and healthy this past September. She posted this on your other thread. You should PM her, she is a really nice girl who, I am sure, would be happy to share any information she has with you.
Hang in there, and try to relax. I know the next 2 weeks will have you on pins and needles, but try not to focus too much on it (I know, I know, easier said than done).
Please keep us posted :)
P.S. Notice the blue type....I am thinking boy thoughts for you.

I wish you much success. I cannot offer any guidance on your questions because I have never been faced with using frozen embryos. I never even had good fresh ones! This time I used an egg donor and I will have my pregnancy test the day after Thanksgiving. Keep the faith...Miracles DO happen! ;)

Thanks guys!! I am trying to stay positive, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much only to be dissapointed!! I will keep you posted though.

hey jennifer
i read your post. sorry about the emmie lost
that hit me like a brick wall but thank God you had a suviror
i did have emmies lose cells but my dr only transfered the one that
grew (he siad the ones that lost cells also had bad fragmentation which is
bad). i got the impressiong that losing cells is not a big deal because they
can still grow in the uterus.
while AF came today and we have decided to move forward so i
go in tomorrow for bloddwork and should have a transfer in early dec.
please keep us posted. you will acutally be surprised how much time you don;t focus one it whole running behind two busy ones :-)
take care - cicely

Cicely - I am in the same boat. We have no more frozen embies, so now I must decide on what to do next. I am taking a break until next Oct. at least (b/c I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding) - I will just enjoy my girls and then see what is instore for us. I most likely will try IVF again after Oct., and hope for the best. My main concern is how many embies will be left. I do not want any destoyed, so I must ask the Dr. what they will do for this. Is there a way to only fertilize a certain amount, etc., but I will worry about that when the time comes. Good luck to you on whatever you decide.
