How do your children get along?

I was wondering.
How do all your children get along? My 9 yr old is hot and cold with the 6 yr old b/g twins. The 22 mnth b/b twins are still too little to fight yet, and the other 3 LOVE them and how cute they are. BUT I was wondering how you handle the hitting or name calling or spitefulness...

Time-out, time-out, timeout void of everything for hitting or take away their favorite toy.

The name calling and spitefulness thing I'm trying something new. Dr. Phil's wife said she brushed her boy's mouths with soap. So I told my kids they get 2 time-outs and the 3rd time I'm getting the toothbrush and soap. I told them I'd have to wash that filth out of their mouths. No soap brushing today. Tomorrow I'll remind them of the rules and see what happens.
