Hi and welcome! Unfortunately this forum is a little slow but maybe w/ a few newbies we can get going. I know what you mean about feeling normal ; ) I LOVE having multiple multiples and wouldn't change a thing!!

I love it too. As crazy as I feel sometimes, it is so cool.
How does your oldest feel? Sometimes people make such a fuss over the other twins, that I feel like my 9 yr daughter old gets put aside.

Interestingly enough most people either think my big three are triplets or that the boys are the twins (my singleton is only 14 mo older then the twins). When people say "TWO SETS?" I just answer yes without explaining which ones : ) When it does come up he is usually the first one to answer, "Yes, we have two twins and I am the BIG brother!" before I can get an explaination out. The one issue we did have a problem w/ was when he realized that everyone else seemed to have a "match" (his words) and he didn't. Even my DH is a twin! We just explained to him all of the wonderful things that make him special and unique. We told him that he came as one baby just like mommy did and that sealed the deal for him. Now he is also glad he doesn't have to "share" his birthday!

i can see from the picture why people think that. I actually had to look at the birthdays :-)
They are adorable!

I was wondering if the mothers of more than one set of multiples are they natural twins or did you need to use fertility drugs. Sorry if its to personal just curious about the chances of having more than one set.

Our twin pregnancies were spontaneous as well. No fertility help but alot of family history. Both sets are fraternal and my physician (and several other sources as well) have said that the chances of having two sets of frats are actually as high as 1 in 12.

Hi -
I am new to this board as well. My name is Tish and I have 4yr old b/g twins, 1 yr old DD and am expecting my second set of twins Feb 28. I know that one is a boy but don't yet know the other. I have a question for those of you with a singleton. How does he/she cope with 2 sets of twins? My DD will be in the middle. Should I be concerned about her?
Thanks and I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Tish

Hi Mommygonemad! I'm CubscoutMom from the other twinsclub. I just found this place today. I've been in such a turmoil all week! Was hoping to find some other multiple/multiples moms to lurk around till my sanity settles down.

I'm Nancy. I have 3 1/2 yo twins -- Emily and Nathan.
We found out I was pg at around 6 weeks. My symptoms were just too familiar so I insisted on an u/s and we discovered that we were having twins again.
I am now 11weeks -- trying to get over this m/s and fatigue. Blech.
But, I actually think I'm over the shock and coming to terms with having twins again... even excited about it. :p
Life is good, ya know?
Edited to add: both sets are spontaneous and no family history

Nansala, you are due at the same time as us! Ours were all spontaneous as well. Welcome to the group!
It's kind of slow down here in 2x2 land!

Hello Ladies! I have 2 sets of twins (pretty scary stuff!) I am busy putting together a book for publication of humorous stories written by moms of twins and super twins from all across the country.
Send YOUR funny anecdote for consideration to: iareblond2@aol.com
Under subject, write: Twin Story
Writer will be given credit if their story is selected for the book.
PLEASE - no "messy diaper" stories! I have had to reject over 40 stories so far because they were gross and not funny!
I look forward to your FUNNY stories!

Hello Busy Ladies !!!!
I am so thrilled to find you ! First, I have a question. Does anybody else out there have, or know of someone that has, more than one set of mono/di twins?
Now the expaination:
At the time of the 1st prenatal visit for the 2nd pregnancy, I had 12 month old monochorionic/diamniotic twin girls. Being that I am a neonatal/obstetrical RN, I was concerned because the top of my uterus (i.e. fundus) was already palpable above the pubic bone and "morning sickness" was an understatement! However, the OB assured me that identical twins were NOT genetic, but that she would order an ultrasound to put my mind at ease  . Well, IT DIDN"T WORK !! You guessed it - twins again! And so now, I am a single mother blessed with 2 sets of mono/di twin girls. They are now ages 6 & 4. Our house looks like a Barbie war zone :-).
They are 22 months apart. The hardest part was breastfeeding. The 22 month olds knew that I probably would not put the newborns down to stop their endeavors and took full advantage of this "wild time" every 3 hours  !
However the cool times far outnumber the wild times. It is so very funny to see the look on people's faces when you walk down the aisle of a store with 3 in a triplet stroller and 1 on your back HA/HA ! Or when they ask about their ages and you say that you have 2 sets of twins that are 22 months apart - ages 2 years and 2 months :p . The irony here is that I'm an only child.
I apologize for going on and on. But it is a relief to find moms struggling with but enjoying the gift of multiples.
Oh, one more question. Do any of you want more children? My co-workers swear that they are going to commit me to a mental ward if I say that I would like another baby even 1 more time in their presence :) .
WELL, IT'S TIME FOR ASSEMBLY LINE BATH & BED TIME ONCE AGAIN,

Hi Everyone!!!! I just love this message board. I just signed up the other day. This is for Twin Twins. I just wanted to let you know that I have 14 month old identical twin girls and just found out the other day that I am pregnant with identical twin girls again. My due date is 7/10. I just knew from the beginning that I was pregnant again with twins. I just read somewhere that the chance of having two sets of identicals is 1 in 70,000. Not sure how correct this is, but am assuming it doesn't happen too often. :) My two sets will be 18 months apart, so we are basically in the same situation. It will be funny to see the looks on people's faces when they see us walking in the mall. Well, I just wanted to say hi to everyone. :p

Hi
I have Fraternal twin boys that are almost 10 months old. They were the product of years of infertility, medication and IUI. Today, I found out that we are pregnant with our second set of twins!! "Natural" this time (no drugs). I am sooo excited, but sooo scared, too. Please give some encouraging words to this newbie. I need some positive words to assure me that I will not just survive, but enjoy this wonderful gift.
