Question about when go4 baby #3

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this board. Just found it today. I have a question for you. We have a set of 9 mo. old b/g twins. My DH and I are currently trying to decide when to try for #3. Our current line of thinking is that we would like to have another when the twins are 2. We want to have our children kinda of close together, and a couple of yrs. seems good. Is this a bad idea? Have any of you had more children this close to your twins? I'm kinda worried about them being in their terrible two's while I am trying to care for a newborn. I am also worried about having another set of twins (although that would be great :) ) while caring for 2 yr. olds. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

My twin boys are 15 mo old and I am due with baby #3 August 9th. We had the same line of thinking...we wanted them to be close together. We made that decision before I found this board so I didn't have anyone to ask opinions!!! We have never been around twins or anything, and everyone says they always have a special bond.... we felt that if we had the next child sooner rather than later...that might help them to all be close!!! We thought we would have another boy... since I had the twin boys (we think are fraternal)..but I'm having a girl! That makes me happy for many reasons, but I think she has something special her own now too...being the only girl...

I don't think having them close together is crazy... we are already in "baby mode" going to bed early and not having much freedom, so we wanted to do it all at once. There are some other moms who have their kids close together that post here.... They all seem to like it that way. My sister has a 4yr old a 2.5 year old and a 6 mo old and her 4 year old gives her the most problems!!!

I have a 5 yo 3 yo and 1 yo twins and another baby(ies) due in january. WHen I concived my second my first was 13 mts old when I concieved the twins my second was 15 or 16 mts. We concived this one the day the twins turned15 mts. Can ya see my pattern??? I like to keep them close together It seem they are better friends and have more in common BUT it also means they can also be their worst enemies. Parenthood has its days. They will fill you up(with love) then break you down(fighting) I myself just go at everyday life with the kids with love. And look at each situation and ask do I want to put my energy into this if the answer is no I tell them to deal with it. We are hoping for another set but could careless what we get boy girl two one we dont care just happy we are expecting.

Thanks Jackie & Beth. It helps a lot to know there are other moms out there who think like me :D My DH and I talked about this last night and feel that we should go ahead and have another when the twins are 2. I'm very excited about having more children. I want 4 kids right now, but I'm going to wait and see how this next preg. goes before making any more plans. I had preeclampsia w/the twins, and had to deliver at 35 wks. The babies were fine though and got to go home w/me. I'm kinda worried about getting preeclampsia again. I'm a type 1 diabetic, so I'm working already to get ready for this next preg. I also want to lose a little weight before I get preg. So I have a lot to get done in the next few months! I'd really like to have our next baby (or babies) around the same time of year as the twins. That way we won't have to buy a whole lot of new clothes. With that in mind, we plan on TTC starting around Nov/Dec. We will se how it goes. Thanks again for your posts.

Three of my for are born in january and this next one is due in january LOL. I never thaught of the clothes thing that will work out great lol. Have fun trying. Start to chart your cycles and mucos. I have been, and on the first try, got pregnant. We still having fun pratcing(sp?) for the next time we go for more lol :D . Have fun most of all.
