Hello everyone! My wife and I have been College sweethearts since 1992, we married in 1998 and have been happily married for over 6 years now and still going strong. We're in our early 30's and God has blessed us with a great marriage and supportive family. God has been great!

We had alot of reservations about planning on a family earlier in our marriage as we were still getting settled with our careers (we're both Registered Nurses!), we just moved into a new home, concerns about babysitter issues, etc. etc....but we realized, enough of these sorry excuses!!!---- we realized---- as we got older and more responsible - that starting a family would be our main goal at the start of this year. After what was to come in the next few months would change my wife and I's life completely!

We took a 10 day Cruise in Hawaii in Feb, hoping this would be the perfect time and place for both of us to "work on it". Guys/gals, we probably had the most romantic time of our lives together! Unfortunately, she was not ovulating at the time so we had to wait another month (shucks!) to take another crack at it!

We pretty much crossed each and every day that passed on our calendars and used the Clear Blue Ovulation Kit to determine her most peak HCG level and with God's grace, the miracle of life had started. We anxiously waited...and waited...and waited...

With God's grace she woke up one morning Easter Saturday and did her urine test and surprise, surprise...my wife was pregnant! We were in the bathroom of all places and I was the happiest - father- to- be that day!!! We were up all night almost that night. We went to Eater Sunday Mass the next morning and praised and thanked God for blessing us.

We met with my wife's Gynecologist that week and I was so anxious that day! I saw couples in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters... mothers with their newborns - and I was like wow!

First visit was great and the pregnancy was confirmed through a blood test and we shared the news with almost everybody we knew.

On my wife's 3rd prenatal visit, she had her first trans vaginal U/S and lo an behold we saw our baby on the monitor at approximately 2 months gestation!!! We were both happy to hear the news (I cried in joy!). But that wasn't the end of the exam at that point !!! The Doctor, began asking us if any of us had a history of twins in the family and I just realized that my father's youngest sister were twins and my wife's Aunt's kids had identical twins! Unknowing what was to come, as we were still in awe at seeing our little baby on the monitor minutes earlier, we had no clue that the doctor displayed another baby sitting right next to Baby A - alive and kicking as well!!!

Double happiness!!!! My wife's expected date is Dec 22, 2004. Fraternal or Maternal, we should find out in a few weeks!

Thought I'd share this with you all! Hope to see you all in the forums more often in the months to come! God bless you all! :)

Congratulations on your sweet story! That is so neat. We are so thankful to God as well for the blessing of twins. It took us almost a year to concieve so we were so excited to find out we were having twins. This is a great place to come and share, ask questions, and vent (as sometimes we need to do!).

Good luck to you! Come back and let us know the results of fraternal or identical. :)

It's so exciting.
If you think you are blessed now, wait until you meet your two children. It's so amazing.
Best of Luck and keep us posted.
