Hi there!
I am new here!!!!!! I have 7 year old b/b twins and a 3 year old daughter. My husband and I would like to get pregnant again, does anyone know what the chances might be on having another set????? Fraternal twins do run in my side of the family....

When I went to my 6 week post-partum visit after my b/g twins were born, I asked my doc what were the chances of this happening again. He said my chances increase four fold after a twin pregnancy. WoW!!! Twins run in the family, but have skipped several generations. We were very surprised.
My husband and I want to have 3-4 kids. We fear that we will have a 3rd, and go for that 4th, and opps have another set of twins, and end up with 5 kids. Would be neat, but very unexpected.

I have four daughters, including a set of g/g fraternal twins and found out I'm pregnant with another set of fraternal twins due Feb 2003. I'm "42" which I'm sure had lots to do with it. Needless to say, we're amazed, surprised, shocked and are trying to figure out what kind of car to buy with six kids. My maternity clothes and baby stuff is long gone as our youngest are the "almost eight year old" twins. I'd appreciate any info from Moms with more than one set of twins. I'm assuming you've survived this.
You'll probably need a full-size van, I think they seat 9 passengers. :)

Congratulations on your second set of twins on the way. I have Identical Twin Girls who are nine, and Fraternal Twin Girls who are 7 months. Needless to say we started over too. My best advice is to find a local twins club in your area (if you're not already a member) and get your stuff second hand. I found that having the second set of twins is easier than the first, because you already know what to expect. My first set of twins were nine weeks premature, so when we found out it was twins again I immediately started seeing a maternal-fetal specialist and was able to carry the second set 38 weeks (full-term). The really good news is, it sounds like you have a lot of help at home with a house full of girls. My older girls help out quite a bit with taking care of their baby sisters, and they don't even have to fight over a baby because they each have their own. Once again congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy.
Isn't it wonderful to be doubly blessed twice?!
